Why we run

We run because we are cowards – we know what we must do and how to do it, but we are afraid to take the step because we worry about what others will think. We fear being judged, being thought of as different because our truth is not relative.
We run because we are afraid – afraid of consequences, afraid of the future, afraid of not knowing what is coming next. The most beautiful thing about humanity and mortality is the uncertainty of the future, being able to live each day as it comes. We are afraid because we hold no grasp on the seasons, on time, because we’re not God.
We run because we are blinded – blinded by our own hands, and by the hands of those around us; our eyes cloaked to what is reality, forced instead to focus on the falsities and the half-truths we tell ourselves; blind to the bigger picture.
We run because we/some of us don’t know better – regardless, ignorance is not an excuse
We run because time is immaterial – we can never know how much we’ve wasted until it is all gone. Therefore, we remain procrastinators, putting off until tomorrow what we must urgently accomplish today.
Man wasn’t born deviant. Within us is the capacity to know the truth and to do the right thing. Since this is true, why do we run; why do we see what is right and willingly go left.
