A Fear of Living

The road less traveled remains bare because we fail to dream We who are convinced of our own mortality refuse to grow wings Refuse to fly, because we are convinced that it is impossible to live forever So we restrict ourselves to the mundane The basics, the day-to-day, and fool ourselves into believing that we are ok When, in truth, we are crawling with steady pace Towards a life that will remain unlived and unremembered after death
