To Wait

She will wait for her soul mate – Love’s last desire
A daunting task cast on her fallow heart
For love is not a game to be played but a prize to be won
Like a beautiful garment made of the finest fabric
Her mind will dance around the thought of the less likely
But her soul will never entertain such carnality
To wait, how bane it must be
But how pure the reward
Like a banner to be worn, cast across the shoulders
For her heart has known many but her body one love
How pleasing restraint can be – such a beautiful thing

Dreams

Dreams are etched in the skyline
But without wings to fly one can never obtain, regain or proclaim
A birth-rite
The blessed assurance of things to come, of things hoped for
Long will be the days of toil
Long the nights of sorrow
Until the futures becomes the present, our todays akin to our tomorrows
For hope is not a simple glance at the future, but positive steps bartered against the past
Dreams will remain dreams until phobia is cast aside and confidence is raised high
Like a triumphant banner proclaiming ‘to dream is vain, but to live is eternal’.
Live your dreams.
